Phillip Thomas Tucker, PhD, has authored nearly 30 books on various aspects of the American experience. He has long specialized on the most forgotten and overlooked subjects of the Civil War, presenting unique narratives of a ground-breaking nature. After earning a PhD in American history from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri, Tucker served as a profession historian for the Department of Defense, mostly in the Washington, D.C., area.
